Simple Thread Vein Removal by Laser

Thread veins are generally harmless but some people consider them a nuisance and are conscious of trying to cover them up. They can also increase in size over time.
Thread veins are a group of dilated veins that appear close to the surface of the skin and are usually red or blue. They can occur anywhere on the body, but are most commonly found on the legs and face. They tend to branch out and give a spidery sort of pattern, hence why they are commonly referred to as spider veins.
There is no obvious cause for thread veins but they tend to develop as we age and our skin becomes thinner and starts to lose its elasticity. Women are more prone to them than men as it is thought they can be provoked by hormonal changes associated with both pregnancy and the menopause.
Other commonly known causes of thread veins include; prolonged exposure to the sun, being overweight, alcohol consumption and radiotherapy. Jobs that involve continuous standing may aggravate the condition, but they don’t actually cause it. Thread veins can also be inherited if they are a family tendency.
At Candover, our Fotona Laser provides a permanent solution for getting rid of your thread veins, with minimal discomfort in just a few short sessions. The Fotona Laser works by immediately shrinking the capillaries to provide results that are instantly visible. This happens because the light is readily absorbed by blood to shrink the vessel. Sometimes just one treatment will be enough to remove the thread veins, but others may require up to three sessions. This depends on the extent of the veins and their response to the treatment.
