Positive Impact on Local Healthcare
October 12, 2015
Since its opening in December 2013, Candover Clinic has been providing an exemplary level of medical care to local, privately insured and self-funding residents. This directly benefits publicly funded healthcare by returning profits to the NHS Foundation Trust and reinvesting to provide further care options in the future. Candover’s new facilities also create much-needed additional options for private patients in the area. This key finding identified by the Office of Fair Trading in a recent report on the UK private healthcare industry. Overall this new income stream for public health, improved care and more choices for patients are very positive developments within the Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust catchment area of Basingstoke, Winchester, Andover, Alton and Eastleigh.
