Liposuction is a procedure used to remove areas of fat. The fat is removed via a small cannula that is inserted beneath the skin, and is attached to a vacuum. There is a limit to how much fat can be safely removed during a liposuction operation. Popular areas for liposuction are stomach, thighs, buttocks and chin.
