Dermal fillers are injections that are used to fill out wrinkles and lines in the skin. Fillers are also used for increasing the volume and definition of the lips. The treatment involves filler being injected into the required area in small injections, this can take between 30 minutes to one hour. Dermal fillers are not legally required to be administered by a medical profession but for the safest course of treatment, it is recommended the treatment is carried out by a medical professional in a clinical environment.
